Just purchased some new photoshop actions and wanted to post the results here! I'm loving these new actions from indie actions - Here I've used the "color foundation" and the "indie kick." These were done outside today (mid-morning) using my brand new lens - the Canon EF 135 mm 1:2 L (along with my usual Canon 20D). I'm liking the new lens so far, although it is heavier than what I'm used to and of course I'm having to move much further away from my subject than usual. This was the front of our father's day card this year. Daddy and Grandpa loved it! It was pretty easy to do using photoshop. The alphabet letters came from walmart (a floormat type puzzle in the toy dept.). I ordered the cards (because I only wanted two) from www.shutterfly.com. This is one of my all time favorites. Everything seemed to come together for this shot - I particularly like the lighting on her hair. Sometimes it just pays to follow a child around and capture what they are naturally doing. I ended up ordering a 16x20 of this on metallic paper and it turned out great. This was the only decent photo to come out of this particular session! She was just NOT in the mood. I was glad to get this one! Kids are so unpredictable and you have to be prepared for anything.
